Swords Confirm Hill Farm Lane Venue for Two Seasons

Berks County FC can confirm that for the 20/21 and 21/22 season, the clubs First Team, currently playing in the Thames Valley Premier League will be playing their home games at Hill Farm Lane, the home of Binfield FC.

The move comes after a season at Ryeish Green Sports Hub which the club will continue to use for their Reserve team fixtures.

Please see below for club statements from both club officials:

"As part of our goal to move Berks County FC forward, we're delighted to partner with Binfield FC and play at what's clearly one of the best non-league grounds in Berkshire.

"The move gives us some time to identify and develop our own facility that meets the ambition of our community club."

Steve Kay - Berks County FC Football Secretary

"Binfield are pleased to have Berks County sharing the ground and the facility, to play competitive matches. There is a good relationship between the clubs which can only enhance football in the area."

Bob Bacon - Binfield FC Chairman

“It’s an exciting time for us as a club. To be partners at Binfield FC, which is a great club with great people, is a top opportunity. Our project is three years old and we have been working to find a venue to keep the first team progressing.

"Hill Farm Lane is the perfect venue. Thanks to all at Berks County Committee and Binfield FC Management for helping us to secure the move for the next two seasons."

Lee Simpson - Berks County FC - Joint First Team Manager

"Myself and Lee are incredibly excited. I think everyone knows our goals for the club and as coaches. We want to take the club to new levels year-on-year, and that's not just from a First Team perspective.

"As a team, we were dealt a bad hand last season, which I know means very little in the grand scheme of the entire pandemic. The move for the next two seasons lays the foundations for us to work with the FA and the local authorities, while enabling us to continue to progress on the football front.

"Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen."
